it’s been 4 months since my grandmother passed away and almost hitting the 2 year mark for my grandfather. i always think about them constantly and how they used to be so involved and part of my life but not anymore. it feels weird at times. they both told me to “always love God and love others with a humble heart. be who God created you to be.” those words will never fall away from me and won’t forget them.
i look back onto my life, just seeing how much at fault i was in my past. how many different situations that weren’t pretty made me into the person who i am now, today. i was just an ordinary kid who wanted to know what pleases Gods heart. i’ve been so engaged with ihop 24/7 live stream prayer room and learning so much about authentic spontaneous/prophetic worship. it has so much depth to it. when you read books from the old testament how they broke out in spontaneous worship unto the Lord from King David to the new testament in Acts speaking in tongues, signs and wonders, and all these amazing things…but nothing pleases the heart of God with covering yourself in humility and a humble heart. the depth of spontaneous worship is far more deeper than just “new words or new melodies” arising from the heart but the deep revelation of who God is and letting him to speak that out from the core. i love spontaneous worship because you’re able to tap into the supernatural and within reality to sing your heart out as a new song unto the Lord. can you imagine us doing spontaneous worship to the father like FOREVER?! new melodies, new lyrics, new arrangements we never heard before. wow. it’s going to be amazing. i encourage you all to sing a new song unto the lord from your heart and just let it speak to the father. it really doesn’t matter how/what you sound like, just hearing his sons and daughters will melt his heart even more.
how do you access into prophetic worship? (real basic short version) you ask the Lord what’s on his heart of what he wants to speak. but before you do, you have to come to a place where you know how to engage and conversate with the Lord. it’s a ongoing conversation that you’re having. i love what Julie Meyer from ihop says, “within worship, you are having access to the fathers heart. to only simply please him with not just our words but with our hearts.” that’s truth right there.
last prayer mtg, God just spoke to me of his nature and attributes. within that place, out came a new song where I’m really understanding the deep nature of song writing within being in the intimate place with our abba. i don’t have title yet..
it’s in the secret place, it’s in the quiet place
where my soul cries out for more and more
come and captivate
come and saturate
come and let it rain on me, more and more
